JUNE 30, 2010 – As most Filipinos enjoyed their holiday and witnessed the oath-taking of President Noynoy Aquino at the Quirino Grandstand, CPG’s Executive Team and key leaders gathered at the Discovery Suites for a half day learning session, entitled “From Management by Mission to Developing Cultural Competences for Global Leaders”, that aimed to acquaint leaders with concepts on managing in a multi-cultural setting.
The learning session was facilitated by Professor Yih-teen Lee, Ph.D. of the IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Spain. He is Assistant Professor of Managing People in Organizations and his teaching activities cover courses in leadership, cross-cultural management, and human resource management in MBA as well as executive programs.
Among the topics discussed in the session were studies on corporate cultures as determined by unity and profit, concepts in developing cultural competences for global leaders, and a case study to deepen the understanding of the importance of culture management.
