Century Pacific Group – RSPo Foundation, Inc. went on a Medical-Dental Mission last Aug 20, 2011 (Saturday) at the University of Asia and the Pacific campus, Ortigas Center, Pasig City in partnership with one of its school organizations — the Catalyst. The Foundation was represented by 28 CPG employee-volunteers, who provided assistance in medical and dental care services to the school’s janitors, security guards, maintenance, auxiliary staff and their families.
Aside from these activities, free medicines and vitamins were given to beneficiaries as well as children’s loot bags were sponsored by the Foundation, aside from serving Century Tune meals for lunch.
To make the event more exciting, the Catalyst organized fun games for the children and entertainment to lighten up the whole afternoon. Parents also joined in the activities and some had impromptu performance. The place was filled with laughter and smiles as beneficiaries roamed around the vicinity with their free medicines, prizes, & loot bags.
Meanwhile, the volunteers also had their fun moments, especially when the Century Group and the Catalyst Group had their friendly competition of Pinoy Henyo & Balloon Relay. Aside from the games, the employees also enjoyed being assigned in different service stations where some took blood pressure, provided assistance to doctors, and served food.
Needless to say, this fun-filled activity has not just provided healthcare and nutritious food to the beneficiaries but also gave everyone the chance to come together and experience the joy of volunteerism. This event has shown that helping can be fun and that people’s differences do not really matter. Everyone can work together on the mission of serving.
Anyone and everyone are qualified to be a volunteer. It just takes heart for service to be one.
Join us in our next CSR activity and let us enjoy life through helping!
