Ito ang bolang totoong masarap!
That’s what we’re apt to say when friends or loved ones give us immoderate compliment, more so if such compliment actually appeals to us.
But aside from inordinate flattery, there is another “bola” that will surely appeal to everyone – new WOW Fiesta Meatballs.
WOW Fiesta Meatballs is the newest member of the WOW canned ulam family. As we all know, WOW stands for delightful, value for money products. The addition of Fiesta Meatballs to the WOW portfolio gives consumers wider choices of affordable yet delicious canned viands. With three variants to choose from: Sweet Chili, Sweet and Sour, and Pork and Beans Style, each with a delectable sauce, consumers will indeed be treated to a feast of choices.
To support the launching of WOW Fiesta Meatballs, we asked Publicis Manila to develop a storyboard for a 30-second TV commercial. This storyboard was enhanced and brought to life by Provill Director Jeorge Agcaoili. It’s Direk Jeorge’s second directorial job for WOW, his first being “Poging” for WOW Ulam, featuring Coco Martin.
Direk Jeorge teamed up once again with ace food stylist Lydia Go for the mouthwatering food shots of Wow Fiesta Meatballs. The duo definitely lived up to PMCI’s challenge to exceed the food shots they did for the WOW Ulam TVC.
The brand team led by PMCI AVP for Marketing Jeannie Abejo, Group Product Manager Efi de Castro, and Senior Product Manager Tisha Catabay, supervised the production of the TVC, from talent casting to shooting, down to online editing. The TVC entitled “Bola” started airing last August 11 over stations ABS-CBN 2, GMA 7, TV5, and GMA News TV.
The 30-second TVC hopes to delight the audience with its humorous story and appetizing product shots, which are trademarks of WOW TV commercials. Although the concept of the TVC is “bola” or sweet talk, rest assured that Wow Fiesta Meatballs is seriously delicious.
